We provide high-quality Brapmton basement waterproofing services. With a successful history of spanning over 15 years, we are an insurance protected company dedicated to treat your moisture affected, leaky basements prone to flooding.
Brampton houses many buildings which have been there for last two to three decades. Although they may add a unique captivating effect to the beauty of the city yet deep underground they had incurred many damages with time. Especially, the foundations of these houses have developed cracks, fissures, and crevices allowing water to penetrate through them.
If these foundations are not repaired in time, water may start accumulating in them resulting in the basement flooding. Flooding drastically reduces the strength of your foundations, and may even lead to their structural collapse. The damages caused by such failures may amount to tens of thousands of bucks.
Basement Waterproofing Services
To save yourself the handsome cash and to keep your basement in a proper condition you should get them treated in the earliest stage of the problem, in case they develop one. You should always ensure that your basement is fully repaired, fully dry, and adequately waterproofed.
In case it develops some leakage problem we are always there to help you solve that. Firstly, we check whether all implemented methods for waterproofing of your basement are working properly or not. After identifying the problem we proceed with weeping tile installation or foundation waterproofing or both, depending on the situation.
Weeping Tile Installation
It is an essential component of all waterproofing systems and helps to greatly lessen the water content of a soil. It is simply a porous hollow pipe surrounded by a closed packing of gravel and then wrapped by a special cloth. The pipe contains slits, the openings of which are smaller than gravel size. The purpose of wrapping the assembly in the cloth is to avoid the deposition of soil particles in between the gaps of gravel which can block the slit openings.
The water present in soil slowly percolates towards the weeping tile and gets collected in the hollow pipe. After the water attains certain level it gets drained out of the assembly by means of a sump pump attached to a pipe.
Formerly, this setup used clay pipes to accumulate water which had many problems associated with them. Some of those systems are still in use in the older buildings of Brampton. In most cases, the clay pipes, being weaker in strength, have collapsed causing the system to fail miserably in its purpose. The only possible way of dealing with such systems is to replace them with latest systems by excavating the ground.
In nearly all cases, where the weeping tile system has filed, the substructure (foundation and basement) is also found in bad shape. That’s why there is a dire need of waterproofing their external surfaces. The process of waterproofing is implemented in three stages.
- Cleaning and scrubbing
The first and most important step is to expose the damaged spots, cracks, and crevices in the outermost part of foundation and basement. These damaged parts need to be repaired for stopping the entry of water into the building. It is done by cleaning and scrubbing of the surface by specialized tools, brushes, and brooms.
- Damp proof compound
After we have repaired the exposed damaged parts, we apply a layer of damp proof compounds on the external surface of the substructure. This is done to prevent water from penetrating the walls of foundation and basements by capillary action. Tar formula, hot bitumen or black seal compound is usually used for this purpose.
- Damp proof membrane
In the last stage, we use an impermeable plastic sheet to cover the external surface of foundation and basement. The plastic sheet retains the soil moisture from entering the foundation and directs it towards the weeping tile setup which ultimately drains it out through the sump pump.
We quite often install a weeping tile extension above ground to facilitate us in future inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of the system. After completing the process, we fill the soil back into the excavated area. If the soil contains any sort of contaminants then it is not suitable for filling the excavation because such soil can corrode the membrane. In such case, we use soil from another place to fill the excavation.
We use special excavators to make sure that no damage of any sort is incurred to your property or the adjacent properties. We work with extreme care and treat our customers and their properties with utmost respect. After our work, we level the surface with earth levelers and clean everything. We leave no mess of any sort after our work. Our team is highly trained and expert in their work.

★★★★★ Experience 5-Star Customer Service from Absolute Draining & Plumbing
- Drain Repair
★★★★★ Andrew came and inspected my exterior drain. He was professional, pleasant and punctual. Using a drain camera he showed us what the issues were and made recommendations of how to remedy our issues. We made an appointment and the work was done on schedule and as per the quote he gave us. I would highly recommend their services. Very happy with their work.
- Sewer Replacement
★★★★★ They were very professional, quick and best priced draining and plumbing company I called. They were honest with what they saw in my basement plumbing and did not push to upsell any additional work. They gave great advice as to what to keep an eye out regarding my old plumbing in the future and I appreciated the honesty. They replaced my sewage piping from the stack to the edge of my property (big job) and were in and out of my house in a few days and cleaned up very well!
- Backwater Valve Installation
★★★★★ Andy (the estimator) was terrific. Showed up exactly when he said he would and gave me (and my son) great advice on how to maintain the work they put in at our house. Crews were a little late on starting but stayed until the job was finished. What I thought was going to be a 2 - 3 day job (installation of a Back Flow Valve) was completed and inspected in 1 day! Will definitely use them again.
